The 19th arrondissement is a large area which extends from the boulevard périphérique with the Portede Pantin bordering the suburbs of Pantin and Pré Sains Gervais, to the boulevard d'Aubervilliers, at the limit ot the 18th arrondissement, and the Parc des Buttes Chaumont, at the other end. Built at the end of the XIXth century, this beautiful park is very large and hilly with large lawns on which you can picnic, and a nice lake in the middle. It is the favourite spot of Parisian joggers. The quartier de la Mouzaïa, between the rue de la Mouzaïa, General Brunet, Miguel-Hidalgo is known for its small houses full of charm, built in brick. Today, these houses are lined with garden flowers. Parislodging and Lokapart rents furnished apartments in the area from one- to 5-room flats to tourists wishing to travel and stay in Paris. The neighbourhood is also known for the Parc de la Villette, a large site newly renovated around the former slaughterhouse of Paris, a beautiful XIXth century building made of glass and steel. On one side of the site (Porte de la Villette), you can visit the Cité des Sciences, museum of modern science and technology with original exhibitions for adults and children, and, across th canal de l'Ourcq, on the other side (Porte de Pantin) is the Cité de la Musique including a concert hall, a nice café and a museum with special exhibitions. The Géode (films) and the Zenith (concerts) are worth seeing. You can also have a café, see a movie or stroll along the Bassin de la Villette.
